VENUE at The Old Hall Hotel in Buxton, Derbyshire
Reputed to be the oldest hotel in England, one time host to Mary Queen of Scots and dating back to the 16th century, we have chosen the Old Hall Hotel, in Buxton for this 2 Day course.
We have chosen this 'warm and welcome' venue very carefully to give you the best opportunity of taking photos with fantastic backgrounds. The hotel hosts many weddings here throughout the year and we will be using the elite bedrooms in the hotel itself as well as the exquisite and delightful Pavlillion Gardens. These gardens are just a stones throw across the road and commonly used for second location shoots. The Gardens boast sweeping pathways, rivers, picturesque bridges, a majestic bandstand as well as a floral conservatory - all great backdrops for our photography course and we can guarantee that you will have some great images for your portfolio.
All guests can also stay in this hotel and you will be pleased to know that they were awarded an 'England breakfast award'! This award recognises hotels and B&Bs that offers guests a quality and varied choice of breakfast, alongside a high level of service and hospitality.
Paul Owen is not only a qualified photographer (with the MPA) but also a highly successful businessman who has a wealth of knowledge on how to really get your business breaking into excellent profits. He currently runs his own business; a national Company called Just30 Limited (of whom he is also their official photographer). Just30 is committed to bringing quality e-business solutions which are both scalable to budget and was specifically built for businesses and this is what the International Association of Business Leaders had to say about his business:
"During our recent study of millions of information technology professionals, you were noted for your exceptional reputation in your field and the IT community."
In his previous days, he had a regional development role covering 50% of the UK and his job there was to drive sales and promote business and after this venture, he went on to launch two successful businesses of which he sold for a healthy sum. He now solely runs Just 30 Limited.
Because of his ability to not only capture stunning images and his dual role of being an inhouse photographer and an excellent businessman, we feel he is the perfect candidate to teach at this workshop. He is a born speaker, full of enthusiasm and vigour and will enlighten many who may be faltering in their Sales & Marketing campaigns in their photography businesses.
